DGIST 조정부는 2012년 12월에 회원을 모집하기 시작하여 2013년 4월에 정식 동아리로 등록하여 활동을 시작하였다. 그 후로 실내조정 연습 장비와 낙동강 야외훈련장을 이용하여 꾸준히 조정훈련을 해오고 있다. 이에 더해 여러 조정캠프를 개최하고 다양한 조정대회에 참가하여 명문 조정팀을 향해 나아가고 있다. 특히 2018년에는 미사리 조정경기장에서 개최된 제13회 대학조정대회에서 우승하며 3년 연속 대회 종합우승을 하는 성과를 거두어 명실 공히 한국을 대표하는 명문 대학 조정팀으로 거듭나고 있다.
DGIST Rowing Club (DGRC) was founded in April 2013 as a rowing club representing DGIST. Even though the team has a short history, it has grown into a successful rowing team with steady training and advantage of indoor/outdoor facilities. In addition, the team has been holding various rowing camps for youth and achieving great records at many rowing competitions. Especially, in August 2018, DGRC won the championship at the 13th Inter-University Rowing Championships, which took place on the Misari rowing Venue, proving its potential as the most promising university rowing team in Korea.
