Introduction of the Event

DGIST World-class University Rowing Festival is a festival where students-future global leaders from various universities(Cambridge U., DGIST, ETH Zürich, Harvard U., Hong Kong U. of S&T, MIT, Sydney U.) can promote friendship beyond their races or nationalities. This festival is consisted of many events like the Street Rowing Competition(Ergometer race), 1km Inter-collegiate Competition(M/W 4+, mixed 8+), 12km United Team Competition(mixed 8+) and international academic and cultural programs. Especially, the 12km United Team Competition has been receiving much attention with its unique way of the match: each team is made up by randomly mixing rowers and they have to circle back to the starting point rowing a total of 12km. Not only that, with various cultural and academic programs such as World Best Brain Quiz Competition, World-class University Student Forum, Music Concert, Daegu and Dalseong Tour, the festival is a very meaningful occasion for exploring ways to promote vibrant interchange of academic knowledge and culture and to cultivate convergence spirit and leadership, building a constructive global network.
