There are basically two types of Rowing events, the scull and the sweep. The scull iswhen a rower rows 2 oars and the sweep is when the rower rows one oar. Rowing is a sport that needs teamwork and endurance. It has a 8 types of races from the Single Scull(1 rower) to the Eight(8 rowers). Rowers row the oar at least 34 times a minute and 38-40 times at most. Boat race courses are held either at an artificial course or at a natural course that uses rivers, lakes, etc. The official race length 2000m and the result of each race are judged by the time the stern passes the finish line. To row the oar precisely and flexibly the rower must row smoothly and naturally, also at the same time and angle of every rower on the boat.
