<P class=center_gray_center_text><SPAN class=gray_12>‘운하가 한강을 해치고 조령터널 넘으면 성공시대 쪽박차고 나라는 무너지네….’ <BR><BR>우리네 추억 속에 자리잡은 애니메이션 ‘은하철도 999’를 패러디해 운하건설의 ‘폐해’를 꼬집은 동영상이 화제다.<BR><BR>‘운하백지화 국민행동’(www.nocanal.org)이 지난달 29일 공개한 동영상 ‘운하철도 999’는 애니메이션 ‘은하철도 999’의 멜로디에 “운하건설은 국민혈세를 낭비하고 경제파탄을 일으키는 주범”이라는 내용의 노랫말을 넣어 편집한 것이다. 애니메이션의 실제 캐릭터와 주요 장면들도 가미해 친근감을 더했다.<BR><BR>국민행동 관계자는 “삼면이 바다인 이 나라에 운하가 왠말이냐”며 “국민혈세를 낭비하는, 국민 합의 없는 운하건설을 반대한다”며 제작 배경을 설명했다. 이어 “이번 페놀 누출 사고에서 알 수 있듯, 대운하에서 선박 등이 전복되면 국민의 생명수가 파괴되는 것은 불보듯 뻔한 일”이라고 강조했다.<BR><BR>국민행동은 오는 22일 ‘2008년 물의 날 기념 거북이 가족걷기 행사’를 한강(서강대교 부근 럭비구장)에서 진행할 예정이다. <BR><BR>한편 정종환 국토해양부 장관은 4일 취임이후 첫 기자간담회에서 “단순한 토목공사가 아니라 새로운 것을 창조하는 프로젝트”라며 대운하 사업을 추진할 의사를 명확히 했다. 지난주 국회 장관후보자 인사청문회에 이어 대운하 사업추진 의지를 다시 한번 강조한 것이다.<BR><BR>정 장관은 “민간에서 사업제안서가 이뤄지면 토론회를 갖고 환경평가 등 종합적으로 검토할 것”이라고 말했다. 국민의견을 수렴하지만 추진을 전제로 한 것이다. 4월중으로 대운하사업은 본격 추진될 전망이다.<BR><BR><고영득 경향닷컴기자></SPAN></P></DIV></DIV>
